Congratulations to European Cultural Studies Class of 2021!

June 1, 2021

The Program in European Cultural Studies celebrated the graduates of the Class of 2021 on May 24, 2021 via Zoom.

The Program’s Director, Tony Grafton (History), began the virtual celebration by welcoming the graduates, ECS graduate affiliates, and associated faculty. The winners of this year’s ECS Asher Hinds PrizePeter Foster and Alec Israeli, were also announced.

This year’s cohort was fully remote during the pandemic, managing to complete the certificate requirements by attending a virtual Faber Lecture with Suzanne Marchand, virtual excursions to the Met Museum and the Morgan Library, and attending weekly senior thesis colloquia in the spring to workshop their writing. Their resilience and determination are commendable. Congratulations and all best wishes to the Class of 2021!
